IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers) is a well know Institute that every Electrical Engineering student should be aware of. I was first introduced to it by a Stanford professor and it really has exposed me to developing areas of Information Technology.
Events and seminars that I have attended and found interesting:
Advances in Technology for the Treatment of Aneurysms
The Challenges in Delivering Power to Tomorrow’s Microelectronics
WiMAX, 3G, Wi-Fi, WiBro and Future Wireless
Next Generation Device Technologies
2006 ITRS Overview – The Final Edition
If you are interested and want to be part of IEEE please let me know or browse the web yourself. Here is the link to be a part of IEEE ($30 for students, all year). By the way, there is no obligation that you have to attend the seminars. If you are interested to see what events are taking place in and around the bay area go to e-grid.
